Shipping Clerk

JOB SUMMARY

As a Shipping Clerk your responsibility is to assemble and prepare orders for shipment, verify and keep records of all incoming and outgoing records and contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Assemble and prepare orders for shipment.
• Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing records.
• Order supplies as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow prescribed work rules and standard safety regulations at all times.
• Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting and continuously improving company policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
• Able to maintain regular attendance and punctuality as scheduled
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• US Person Status due to Export Control
• Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiar with the use of MRP systems.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to analyze information and use logic to address issues.
• Attention to detail

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Three to six-month experience in shipping (aerospace manufacturing preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with production planning software or ERP systems.
