What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiography Instructor (PT) position at Passaic County Community College?
We are seeking a part-time Radiography Instructor who will provide didactic instruction and clinical supervision of radiography students while on clinical assignment.
This is a part-time hourly position.
Examples of Duties:
- Conduct clinical site orientation at the clinical education center.
- Track student clinical progress and provide feedback to students in a timely manner.
- Supervise radiography students performing patient care tasks in the clinical setting.
- Equitably prepare a semester schedule of room assignments that provide students with the opportunity to meet clinical objectives.
- Provide direct or indirect supervision of students performing radiography procedures.
- Prepare, discuss, and submit a signed midterm and final evaluation of each student on the specified due date each semester.
- Conduct image evaluation sessions with students following performance of radiographic procedures.
- Maintain electronic clinical competency records for all students.
- Enforce program and clinical education center policies equitably and consistently.
- Alert students and program officials of any clinical deficiencies and conduct conference with the student to address the deficiency, through mechanisms established by the program.
- Integrate classroom and clinical experiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Diagnostic Radiography license.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography
- Minimum 2 years experience as diagnostic radiographer.
- Teaching in a clinical setting preferred.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay for this position is $50.
