The Product Planning Coordinator supports product planning activities across the product lifecycle in a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to coordinate planning activities, maintain product data, and ensure alignment between market needs, development plans, and operational constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Product Planning & Requirements
- Liaise with internal departments such as Development team, Sales, and Marketing.
- Support preparation of product specifications, schedules, Training Materials, DR1 document and internal documentation
- Assist in product sample handling, promotional preparation, and related activities
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to products and projects
- Coordinate trade show logistics, prepare product samples, and ensure all documentation is accurate.
- Assisting the Manager with data analysis and web-based competitor analysis.
- Translate and proofread Japanese materials, ensuring consistency and high quality, matching with the US culture under guidance from senior staff
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to structure information logically and document clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent tools
- SAP and Tableau experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English and Japanese
- Domestic Travel: 10-20%
