Key Responsibilities
- Execute international and domestic freight forwarding operations
- Monitor, trace, and update shipment statuses
- Coordinate carrier and route assignments
- Prepare hazmat shipments and manage related documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable trade, transport, and safety regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with logistics staff, customer service, and vendors
- Support or lead cost negotiations with subcontractors
- Create and implement standard operating procedures (Supervisor)
- Lead efficiency improvement initiatives (Supervisor)
- Train, mentor, and supervise team members (Supervisor)
- College Degree
- Specialist: At least 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics
- Supervisor: 3–5 years of experience, including leadership or team coordination
- Working knowledge of international shipping documentation (AES, ISF, IMO)
- Understanding and experience of hazardous material handling and shipping regulations
- Experience filing International Maritime Organization (IMO), Automated Export System (AES), and Importer Security Filing (ISF) documents
- Knowledge of relevant U.S. and international trade regulations (49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, IMDG)
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Language: Business-level English required; Chinese proficiency preferred (not mandatory)
