Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead electrical and controls projects for automotive parts production equipment. This role combines hands-on engineering with project leadership, vendor coordination, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement PLC programs, electrical circuits, and control systems.
• Manage engineering projects, including cost estimates, schedules, risks, and external vendors.
• Coordinate with customers, equipment manufacturers, and contractors.
• Perform and supervise equipment modifications, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Review electrical drawings and control specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor engineering staff as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Idiomatic-level Japanese proficiency and strong English communication skills are required.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical system design and implementation.
• Experience with PLC programming, particularly OMRON and Mitsubishi, electrical wiring, and circuit design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Experience managing engineering projects, vendors, contractors, or technical teams.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience with automotive manufacturing equipment, industrial automation, or welding equipment.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers or technicians.

Working Conditions

• Full-time, exempt.
• 8:30 AM–5:30 PM; flex-time system available.
• Travel is primarily within Kentucky and to Indiana, Ohio, and Texas, depending on project needs. Occasional travel to Canada and Mexico may also be required.
• Additional working hours may be required depending on project needs.
