- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures particularly as they relate to public financial administration.
- Ability to apply such knowledge to accounting transactions and resolve related problems.
- Ability to identify trends and provide forecasts of a statistical nature.
- Knowledge of modern office machines, methods and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain accounting records.
- Ability to prepare complete accounting reports and statements.
- Ability to acquire knowledge of the legal administrative and procedural regulations applicable to the department of assignment.
- The ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and database files.
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. One (1) year of experience in the maintenance of accounting records. One (1) year experience working with computer spreadsheet and database programs. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook required.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
