Senior Accountant / Financial Operations Manager

Position Overview
A growing real estate investment and development company is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant/ Financial Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, cash management, and office operations. This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone with a startup mentality who is comfortable wearing multiple hats, working under pressure, and helping build scalable financial processes and systems.
This position will play a key role in implementing operational workflows and enhancing QuickBooks with AI-driven reporting, approvals, and contract tracking capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and vendor management.
- Prepare financial reports, project analysis, cash flow reporting, and budget support.
- Oversee weekly bank reconciliations, wires, ACH payments, escrow accounts, and loan tracking.
- Maintain contract logs, payment schedules, and critical project documentation.
- Support project budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for real estate developments.
- Assist leadership with administrative operations, reporting, presentations, and office management tasks.
- Collaborate on building process improvements and AI-enhanced financial workflows layered onto QuickBooks.
- Support HR administration, benefits coordination, and payroll-related tasks.
Qualifications
- 5 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or controller experience within real estate development environments.
- Strong QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills required.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools and technology to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
- Highly organized, analytical, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to take ownership beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.
