What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Partners Personnel?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day huller operations, ensuring safety, food safety, quality, and production goals are consistently met
- Develop and manage operating budgets aligned with company cost and performance targets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency, quality, and equipment optimization
- Build, train, mentor, and coach operations teams to strengthen performance and accountability
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, food safety, labor, etc.)
- Collaborate with upstream, downstream, and support departments to meet production and business objectives
- Make timely operational decisions considering safety, staffing, equipment, timelines, and budget
- Develop and implement workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
- Analyze departmental performance metrics and financials to reduce costs and optimize profitability
- Support hiring, onboarding, and development of team members
- Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing or agricultural processing environment
- Proven experience leading exempt-level teams
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance
- Experience with OSHA regulations and safe work practices (forklift certification a plus)
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Salary : $106,500 - $144,000
