Supervisor - HME
Partners In Home Care (PIHC), is seeking a reliable and dedicated Supervisor to support our HME Department. This position oversees all aspects of daily operations with in the department and maintains comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all departmental functions.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday, with flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends as needed to support staffing and patient needs.
Location: Based out of our main office located in Missoula, MT, may require travel to other counties within our service area.
Job Summary:
The Home Medical Equipment (HME) Supervisor has general supervisory responsibility for the Home Medical Equipment department, which includes intake, respiratory therapist, patient service technicians, dietician and RN. Additionally, you are responsible for quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and daily oversight of all processes and procedures. Under the supervision of the Manager of Strategic Initiatives, the HME Supervisor has general oversight of employee safety, performance, quality and compliance, and the day-to-day monitoring of operational results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all daily operations of the HME program, including department scheduling and coverage of job duties for HME staff in times of staff absences. Must be willing to support operational needs outside of regular business hours.
2. Responsible for oversight of inventory assets/supplies, warehouse management, and inventory controls (cost management, equipment maintenance, and replacement).
3. Ensures customer service systems (software, procedures, and processes) are efficient and effective.
4. Ensures compliance with all HME regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
5. Monitors productivity and efficiency. Under the guidance of the Manager of Strategic Initiatives - develops and implements action plans to address any issues identified.
6. Under the guidance of the Manager of Strategic Initiatives - evaluates, counsels, and disciplines employees on the HME staff.
7. Establishes safe work practices and work environments to protect the safety and wellbeing of employees.
8. Educates other PIHC staff regarding services available through the HME program.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Strategic Initiatives.
