Role Overview
Partify Inc. is a fast growing e-commerce company specializing in painted automotive parts. We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Specialist with a strong background in chemical safety and automotive paint operations to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, maintaining a safe workplace, and supporting safe handling and use of paints, coatings, and hazardous materials within our production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures with a strong focus on chemical safety and hazardous materials.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations related to chemical handling, storage, and disposal.
Oversee proper use, storage, labeling, and disposal of paints, solvents, and other hazardous materials.
Maintain and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventory systems.
Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and chemical exposure evaluations.
Lead safety training programs, including Hazard Communication (HazCom), PPE, and chemical handling procedures.
Monitor air quality, ventilation systems, and exposure controls within paint and production areas.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of production and paint operations.
Partner with production and operations teams to improve safety processes and reduce risk.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety compliance.
Support emergency response planning, including spill response and chemical exposure incidents.
Track and report EHS metrics, incidents, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
Experience as an EHS Specialist, preferably in automotive paint, coatings, or manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of chemical safety, hazardous materials handling, and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Experience working with paints, solvents, coatings, and related chemical processes.
Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and technical chemical information.
Strong communication and training skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
EHS-related certification (e.g., OSHA, HAZWOPER, CSP) is a plus.
