Parsons Behle & Latimer has an immediate opening for a full-time HR Generalist in any city Parsons has an office, with preference given to Salt Lake City candidates. This is an in-office position, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Pay is commensurate with experience.

The HR Generalist will assist with onboarding and workforce operations including administration, strategy, and improvement of human resources function. The HR Generalist – Onboarding & Workforce Operations plays a key role in creating an exceptional onboarding experience for staff and attorneys from offer acceptance through successful integration into the firm. This position partners closely with the Recruitment team, hiring managers, and firm leadership to ensure a welcoming, organized, and engaging new hire experience.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience, 3 year of HR Generalist experience or payroll/compensation experience, and proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP preferred).

Responsibilities:

 

Onboarding & New Hire Experience

· Coordinate and manage the onboarding experience for all staff and attorney hires.

· Partner closely with the Recruitment team to ensure a seamless transition from candidate acceptance to onboarding.

· Serve as a primary HR contact for new hires prior to their start date.

· Coordinate onboarding schedules, orientation agendas and new hire communications.

· Schedule orientation presentations and coordinate presenters, meeting logistics, technology needs, and materials.

· Assist the Chief People Officer (CPO) with initial outreach and first connection meetings with new hires.

· Ensure all onboarding documentation, system access requests, and employment records are completed timely and accurately.

· Monitor onboarding milestones and follow up with managers and new hires to ensure a positive onboarding experience.

· Support continuous improvement efforts related to onboarding processes and employee experience.

HR Operations, Data Integrity & Payroll Coordination

· Maintain accurate employee and position data within HRIS and related systems.

· Assist with HR audits, reporting, data validation, and records management.

· Support data integrity initiatives to ensure consistency and accuracy across systems and processes.

· Serves as the liaison between Human Resources and Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee information.

· Coordinate and communicate new hire, employee status change, compensation, and separation information to Payroll.

· Assist in resolving payroll-related questions and discrepancies in collaboration with the Payroll team.

· Support payroll data audits and validation efforts to maintain accuracy and compliance.

· Ensure HR and payroll records remain aligned across systems and processes.

Employee Engagement & Event Planning

· Assist with planning and coordinating employee engagement activities, orientation, recognition events, and firmwide HR events.

· Partner with Office Services and Business Development as applicable to coordinate logistics, communications, materials, vendors, and scheduling for HR-sponsored programs and events.

· Support initiatives that promote employee engagement, inclusion, and workplace culture.

General HR Support

· Provide support across HR functions as needed, including employee communications, special projects, and process improvement initiatives.

· Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee and organizational information.

· Support a collaborative and service-oriented HR team environment.
