Parsons Behle & Latimer has an immediate opening for a Firm Educator & Trainer based in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. This is an exempt full-time, in-office position, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Pay is commensurate with experience.
The Firm Educator & Trainer is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the firm’s internal education and training programs. This role proactively identifies the firm’s training needs, architects comprehensive learning solutions, and delivers effective training that supports employee growth, operational excellence, compliance, and firm-wide consistency.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on — capable of assessing evolving business needs, building scalable training systems, and engaging all employees (staff and attorneys) through effective instruction and coaching.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive firm-wide education and training program.
- Anticipate and assess current and future training needs across departments and employee levels.
- Design instructional materials, learning pathways, onboarding programs, manuals, workshops, and continuing education initiatives.
- Deliver engaging in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions.
- Create systems for tracking employee progress, training completion, competency development, and continuing education requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership and department managers to identify skills gaps and operational training priorities.
- Standardize processes and educational materials to ensure consistency across the firm.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, observation, and performance metrics.
- Maintain and update training content to align with firm policies, procedures, technology, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Coach employees individually and in group settings to reinforce learning.
- Recommend and implement learning technologies, training platforms, and development tools as appropriate.
- Support organizational change initiatives through targeted communication and training strategies.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in corporate training, professional development, instructional design, or adult education.
· Experience developing comprehensive training programs and educational systems.
· Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
· Demonstrated ability to assess organizational needs and develop practical learning solutions.
· Strong project management and organizational skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) or training software.
· Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, managers, and staff across all levels of the organization.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in a professional services environment (law firm, accounting firm, consulting firm, etc.).
· Certification in training, instructional design, coaching, or organizational development.
· Experience with e-learning platforms and digital content creation.
· Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
