We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a role with Parkview Event Space as an Event Coordinator to support our rental department in South Lake Union. Parkview Event Space is located in the Seattle Unity Church building in the heart of South Lake Union in Seattle, and it opens onto Denny Park. Responsibilities
Our Venue Manager will set you up for success by giving you all of the event details to coordinate a successful event. The Event Coordinator represents Parkview Event Space during private and public rental events as a contract staff member. This includes pre-planning event coordination with the client, interacting with guests and contractors, including but not limited to AV Techs, caterers, event planners, and wedding coordinators. In addition, this position assists with opening the building, setting up events, facilitating the event and the breakdown of the event and closing after the events’ completion.
Sending photos and videos to the Venue Manager throughout the event.
Requirements
Ø Schedule flexibility with availability to work on a contract per-event basis, as needed. You can work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Ø Experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level intimate events
Ø Shown experience in executing events at the highest level and continuously raising the bar on the customer experience
Ø Resourcefulness, can exhibit grace under pressure, and be solutions-minded in ambiguous situations
Ø Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills
Ø Customer service skills
Ø Social media experience a plus
Ø Sales and marketing experience a plus
Ø Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with event management software (e.g. Honeybook) preferred.
Required
Ø Ability to lift, and carry up to 40 lbs.
Ø Minimum of three years’ experience in event planning, coordination, or production.
Ø Experience in diverse event environments and large-scale events is a plus.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Event Coordinator based in Seattle, WA. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing events, coordinating logistics, and managing schedules. Daily tasks include liaising with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure events run smoothly, as well as addressing last-minute changes and resolving issues promptly.
