Physical Requirements: The majority of time will be spent in an office environment. Some travel will be required between Fairplay and Bailey and for training or client home visits.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform supervisory responsibilities including recruitment of new staff, training, evaluations, disciplinary or corrective actions, and other related duties.
- Manages the processes and procedures to administer assistance programs to comply with applicable regulations.
- Interprets and applies current and new regulations for all categories of assistance
- Monitors and reviews applications, denials, or other case information periodically for quality control and compliance.
- Administers recordkeeping of all records on all cases; monitors trends in caseload fluctuations; provides reports to the director as needed
- Develop procedures within mandated regulations
- Interfaces on a daily basis with a computer system requiring accurate and complete data entry. Interprets and evaluates computer generated data.
- Determines the need for recovery of funds or referral for fraud investigation. Completes reports to the proper investigative resource in cases of suspected fraud.
- Prepares for and testifies at evidentiary or other hearings
- Represents Park County at state sponsored at regional meetings
- Encourage and guide team members to meet and exceed goals
- Investigate the eligibility for and the accuracy of payments in assistance programs, determine if proper procedures were used, and seek methods to correct any errors
- Advise and assist staff with issues pertaining to assistance being provided
- Perform quality assurance review of team members’ work to ensure accuracy and compliance with State and Federal guidelines related to Public Assistance programs as mandated by the Federal Government and ensure that Federal reporting deadlines are met to avoid Federal funding and fiscal sanctions
- Prepare and/or direct the preparation of records and reports and ensure that team members enter and update information into the State and County computer systems
- Review, develop, or modify work plans, methods, and procedures, determine work priorities, and develop work schedules to provide adequate staff coverage. Provide work instruction and assist employees with difficult and/or unusual assignments and encourage innovation
- Assign and distribute work, review work for accuracy and completeness, and return assignments with recommendations for proper completion
- Address performance issues, develop Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), and track performance for adherence to the plan
- Have the ability to formulate solutions to complex problems relating to the work of the Self Sufficiency Team
- Participate in the development and instruction for training the Self Sufficiency Team
- Attend Federal, State and County Partner meetings
- Conduct review, resolution and responses of County, State, and Federal Audits
- Assist in preparation of written responses and exhibits for appeals and represent the Unit at Administrative hearings
- Performs outreach in the community with food banks, family resource centers and similar entities that serve individuals or families in need.
- Implement changes and develop or assists in development of new projects or activities.
- Train staff on new procedures to comply with state and federal rules and regulations.
- May be required to assist with ESF6 emergency support functions; collaborate and coordinate mitigation, preparedness response and recovery activities to protect life and reduce suffering from natural and human caused emergencies.

- Knowledge of SNAP, Adult Financial, Long-Term Care, Medicaid, TANF, LEAP and other assistance programs
- Professional experience in the field of Human Services
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with clients; co-workers; members of local, state and federal agencies

- Ability to use standard office equipment including computer, fax, copier; must have proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Xcel

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; Minimum five (5) years’ experience as Eligibility Technician or comparable position and general knowledge of office equipment and basic computer skills required.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License
