THE OPPORTUNITY
As Director of Executive Search, you will own a full-desk practice, building client relationships from the first conversation while leading high-impact searches from intake through offer. This is not a purely delivery-side role. You will be expected to generate revenue, cultivate a defined functional specialty, and position yourself as a recognized market authority. You will have real ownership over your book of business and the infrastructure to grow it, supported by a team that competes on quality, not volume.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• Business Development: Originate and close new client engagements across retained, contingent, and RPO service lines
• Client Portfolio Management: Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned accounts; deliver proactive market intelligence and strategic counsel
• Full-Cycle Search Execution: Lead executive recruiting engagements end-to-end, from position scoping and candidate mapping through offer negotiation and close
• Market Positioning: Build a visible personal brand within your functional specialty through thought leadership, referrals, and community
• National Footprint Expansion: Identify and develop new geographic and sector opportunities aligned with firm growth priorities
WHAT YOU BRING
• 7 years of executive or professional-level recruiting experience, ideally in a full-desk or revenue-generating capacity
• Proven business development track record, you have opened new accounts, not just filled them
• Experience in or adjacent to PE/family office environments such as finance, operations, C-suite, or professional services recruiting a plus
• Entrepreneurial character, self-directed, metrics-oriented, and energized by ownership rather than process
• Consultative communication style, you listen first, advise with conviction, and build trust through transparency
• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus
