This is highly complex clerical work in the Finance Office. The main duties of the position include processing account payable, processing funds coming into the Finance Office, answering the phone for the Finance Office, and providing service to the internal and external customers at the Finance window.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Duties include processing purchase requisitions and accounts payable information for all departments, receiving and processing funds coming into the Finance Office, balancing the cash drawer daily, preparing the daily cash report, preparing daily deposits, maintaining records concerning HUD loans, processing incoming and outgoing mail, assist with job applicants, and handle citizen inquiries. Other minor duties plus job cross-training required. Position will serve as back up to other Finance positions.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school/GED plus 3 years of clerical experience in a position involving high volume of cash. Personal Computer literacy required which includes knowledge of Windows environment. College course work and or experience in accounting and finance are desirable. Excellent customer service skills are essential. Must not have a criminal record and have a good credit history. Must be able to perform all essential job functions.
