Job Title: Associate Director, Data Curation
Duties: Parexel International LLC seeks an Associate Director, Data Curation reporting to headquarters in Newton, Massachusetts to perform data curation. Design and implement modelled (curated) data in enterprise data lakes. Utilize data mapping, data modeling, and ETL tools. Develop data curation plans. Design and manage ETL processes, ensuring smooth extractions, transformations, and the loading of data into centralized data repositories. Utilize SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, ETL solutions, and PowerBI for data processing and analysis. Design data models and technical solutions in data wrangling to support business requirements for reporting, analytics, and system-to-system integrations leveraging curated data. Liaise with IT technical teams to provide data requirements, collaborate on technical solutions, and coordinate technical testing, bug-fixes, and scheduling of data releases. Model and catalog data using ER/Studio, Erwin Data Modeler, and Alation. Wield understanding of data types, including clinical data, operational data, and Personal Identifiable Information (PII) data, and protections needed for each. Lead data governance initiatives and establish policies and procedures regarding data quality, security, and compliance with regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA. Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus three years of data curation experience. Must have at least three years of experience in each of the following: 1. Utilizing data mapping, data modeling, and ETL tools; 2. Designing and implementing modelled (curated) data in enterprise data lakes; 3. Designing and managing ETL processes; 4. Developing data curation plans; 5. Utilizing SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, ETL solutions, and PowerBI for data processing and analysis; 6. Modeling and cataloging data using ER/Studio, Erwin Data Modeler, and Alation; and 7.
