A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its finance team in the greater Charlotte area. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of accounting experience who is comfortable working with data, solving problems, and partnering with both finance and operations teams. The right candidate will bring a solid accounting foundation, experience in a manufacturing setting, and working knowledge of SAP.

What you’ll do
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Assist with inventory accounting, cycle count review, and variance analysis
- Help monitor manufacturing costs, operating expenses, and key plant performance metrics
- Work within SAP to review transactions, research issues, and support accurate financial data
- Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
- Assist with account analysis, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support fixed asset, AP, AR, or general ledger activities as needed
- Participate in audit support, reporting requests, and ongoing process improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–2 years of accounting experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of data
- Understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well across departments
Nice to have
- Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or plant accounting
- Exposure to ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
- Experience supporting audits or process improvement projects
