We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing operation in Charlotte, NC. What You’ll Do
- Manage daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity
- Lead and support month-end close, ensuring deadlines are met accurately
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules
- Support standard costing setup and cost roll-ups
- Perform inventory accounting, including valuation, reserves, and reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset accounting, including CIP tracking, depreciation, and disposals
- Execute intercompany reconciliations and manage cross-border transactions
- Support intercompany loans, cross-charging, and related accounting activities
- Assist with SAP S/4HANA implementation and configuration, especially across FI/CO, MM, and production-related processes
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial master data
- Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and support IFRS-related reporting where applicable
- Coordinate with tax consultants and corporate tax teams
- Support internal and external audit documentation requests
- Partner with Order Management to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition
- Develop and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls
- Optimize processes related to A/P, A/R, inventory, and cost center structures
- Support the Plant Controller with financial reporting and operational KPI analysis
- Build reporting visibility using Excel and/or Power BI
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA required, especially FI/CO, MM, and inventory
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS exposure is a plus
- Experience owning or heavily supporting monthly close
- Knowledge of cost accounting and inventory valuation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain financial results and variances
- High attention to detail and a strong internal controls mindset
- Comfortable working across international teams and time zones
