Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by following safety protocols and conducting regular supervision
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive conduct and emotional regulation
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and daily activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and development
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old
- High school diploma, GED, or transcript
- Must be able to pass BCI/FBI background check
- Vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated for TDAP and MMR
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is mandatory; employee will need to obtain certification
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
- Passion for nurturing children’s growth and fostering a safe, inclusive environment
Job Details
- Locations across Columbus
- Shifts available Monday- Friday some weekends/ Primarily 6am- 6pm
- Work with infants, toddlers, preschool, and school- age children
- Pay based off experience, eduacation, and placement
