Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and classroom instruction, focusing on literacy education, math, and overall curriculum development.
- Support children’s social-emotional growth through effective behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies.
- Help maintain a well-organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
- Provide attentive toddler care and support preschool and activities tailored to different developmental stages.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster childhood development and early learning skills.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently during all activities and assist in daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times.
Skills
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings or similar environments preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and children.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote positive classroom behavior.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom needs as a floater or assistant teacher across multiple age groups.
