Duties
- Provide attentive care to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, social skills, and emotional development.
- Ensure the safety of all children by supervising playtime, meal times, nap times, and transitions throughout the day.
- Support children's individual developmental needs by applying principles of childhood development and behavior management strategies.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom or daycare environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
- Assist with classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and respectful interactions among children.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments is encouraged.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage children through nurturing caregiving and educational activities while maintaining patience and professionalism.
