Treatment Coordinator – Oral Surgery Practice
We are an elite oral surgery practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and first-class service to our referring partners. We are seeking a compassionate, outgoing, and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping patients navigate their care.
This role is essential to ensuring a seamless patient experience—from understanding treatment plans to clearly communicating financial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Communication
- Provide exceptional phone and in-person customer service
- Clearly communicate treatment options, costs, and payment expectations
- Collect payments in a professional and timely manner
Insurance & Billing
- Verify insurance and maintain accurate patient insurance records
- Interpret and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Process claims and ensure accurate billing
Treatment Coordination
- Review and explain treatment plans, including surgical procedures
- Translate clinical diagnoses into clear financial and scheduling information
- Calculate copays and patient responsibility promptly after exams
Referral Management
- Review, interpret, and coordinate referrals from general dentists and specialists
- Accurately read and process outside treatment information
Operations & Team Collaboration
- Maintain the provider schedule for optimal efficiency
- Partner with clinical staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
Professional Standards
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Remain calm, empathetic, and professional during busy periods
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a dental or oral surgery practice
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and CDT codes
- Experience with insurance verification, claims, and EOB interpretation
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
