Job Title: Automation Tester (Playwright & AI-Assisted Testing)
Job Location: Hybrid / Onsite – Washington, DC
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to support regression and integration testing for enterprise applications using a Playwright-based automation framework. This role will leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and maintain high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will ensure that application enhancements are thoroughly tested, reliable, and aligned with performance expectations.
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance Playwright-based automation test suites for enterprise applications such as iPortal.
- Develop new automation scripts to support evolving business requirements and system integrations.
- Execute regression and integration testing to validate application changes and ensure system stability.
- Integrate and optimize automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
- Leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and improve code consistency.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable recommendations for quality improvement.
- Ensure adherence to testing standards, frameworks, and best practices across the testing lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 6 years of hands-on experience in functional and automation testing.
- Strong proficiency in Playwright for web application testing using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Solid understanding of modern automation testing frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Experience integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience with enterprise applications (e.g., iPortal or similar platforms) is an advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience implementing test automation strategies for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with performance testing and API testing tools.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint-based delivery models.
