Job Title: Business Analyst III
Job Location: Hybrid – Washington, DC
Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role focuses on defining high-quality requirements, supporting Agile delivery, enabling Program Increment (PI) planning, and ensuring solutions align with business and regulatory expectations—particularly within the banking domain.
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and integrating applications to define and document requirements using Epics, Features, and User Stories.
- Support backlog grooming and prioritization activities to ensure readiness for sprint execution and PI Planning.
- Prepare and deliver clear presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist Product Owners during Pre-PI Planning and actively participate in PI Planning events.
- Conduct functional testing, analyze logs, metrics, and usage data to derive insights into system behavior and business relevance.
- Support Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Facilitate JAD sessions and collaborative requirement workshops.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and assume Scrum Master responsibilities when required.
- Coordinate effectively with onsite and offshore delivery teams.
- Perform timely issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Proactively manage deliverables, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in Business Analysis, with strong domain experience in Banking or Financial Services.
- Proven ability to write clear, precise, and testable user stories.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across technical and business audiences.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data analysis abilities.
- Solid experience working within Agile and SAFe environments.
- Highly organized, with strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
