A growing legal practice is seeking a Real Estate & Transactional Attorney to support real estate closing operations, general transactional work, and related legal matters. This role is ideal for an attorney who is detail-oriented, responsive, and knowledgeable in Alabama real estate law and title work. The position also includes opportunities to assist with Probate and Estate Planning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee residential and commercial real estate closings
- Review title searches and prepare title opinions
- Identify and resolve title issues efficiently
- Draft and review legal documents such as deeds, contracts, affidavits, and settlement statements
- Advise staff, clients, agents, and lenders on Alabama real estate law and closing practices
- Serve as attorney-of-record on transactions
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Assist with general transactional legal matters
- Contribute to business development and firm growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Alabama law license in good standing (required)
- Residence in Alabama (required)
- At least 2 years of experience in real estate and/or transactional law preferred
- Strong knowledge of Alabama property and title law
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Professional demeanor with high attention to detail
- Familiarity with real estate closing software (Qualia or similar) is a plus
- Experience with Probate & Estate Planning preferred
