Our client is seeking a Controller to support the accounting and financial operations of multiple affiliated business entities. This is a full-time, in-office position responsible for hands-on accounting leadership, financial reporting, and operational oversight across a multi-entity environment.
As Controller, you will work closely with executive leadership to manage daily accounting activities, oversee month-end close processes, and provide accurate financial information to support business decisions. This role requires a transparent, documentation-oriented professional who communicates clearly, asks difficult questions when necessary, and takes ownership of financial processes.
What You’ll Do:
• Perform and oversee daily accounting activities across multiple business entities
• Lead monthly closings, including financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Manage cash flow, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reporting
• Coordinate tax workflows with external providers
• Support intercompany accounting and multi-entity financial operations
• Maintain organized documentation and process controls
• Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and financial analysis as needed
• Manage accounting related to international purchasing, imports, freight, and foreign vendors
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience supporting multiple entities or affiliated companies
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with international transactions or import accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and strong organizational abilities
• Confident, trustworthy working style with clear and direct communication
