Summary Of Job Description

The Associate Payroll Accountant position is responsible for entering, verifying, and maintaining payroll information for assigned Regions. This position processes bi-weekly payrolls and prepares daily, weekly, and bi-weekly federal and state tax data for transmission to ADP.

Job Responsibilities

• Processes daily, weekly, and bi-weekly payroll for assigned Regions and complete payroll cycle. Ensures garnishment orders are properly handled. Uploads vacation hours to Payroll system , and processes safety shoe payments from employees. Enters, verifies, and maintains payroll information for assigned Regions.
• Provides customer service, communicating with General Managers regarding payroll time card issues. Handles incoming calls from stores in assigned Region related to payroll issues.
• Reconciles and prepares federal and state tax data for transmission to ADP. Prepares journal entries for payroll tax liabilities for posting to the General Ledger System.
• Handles and resolves agency inquiries.
• May assist Supervisor in training other Payroll associates.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts as assigned.

Your Background & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with coursework in Accounting required
• Minimum one year of related experience in a retail/hospitality environment
• If hired, successful completion of annual store training
• Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
  
  

Pay Range: P1 $28-$35/ Hour

• Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
