Account Executive

Account ExecutivePalo Alto Foods – Union City, CASummary:Palo Alto Foods is a leading foodservice distribution company serving the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Account Executive to join our sales team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, as well as identifying, onboarding, and supporting new customers. Responsibilities:Build, maintain, and foster strong relationships with high-value customers by understanding their needs and growing long-term partnerships.Focus primarily on serving institutional customers and independent restaurants (e.g., tech campuses, private schools).Travel throughout the Greater San Francisco Bay Area is required. A reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record are essential.A vehicle stipend of $300/month and fuel reimbursement will be provided.Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers, both verbally and in writing.Qualifications & Requirements:Culinary and/or hospitality background is a plus.Must possess a valid California driver’s license, current car insurance, and a reliable vehicle.Strong geographical knowledge of the assigned territory.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Highly organized with strong time management skills.Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Bay Area to meet operational needs.Education & Experience:Minimum of 1 year of sales experience (preferred).Experience in foodservice distribution (preferred).Familiarity with CRM platforms is a plus.Skills & Abilities:Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills (required).Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).Strong typing and computer literacy skills.Ability to work under pressure with keen attention to detail and accuracy.Bilingual is a plus!Job Type:Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMCompensation:Base Salary 60K-70k plus commission – DOE (Depends on Experience)
