Carolina Interventional Pain Institute is a multispecialty Ambulatory Surgery Center seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team. Part-time and full-time roles are available. Our facility is known for our friendly, outgoing, and professional staff. Our perfect candidate is a compassionate, detail-oriented healthcare professional who combines clinical expertise with strong patient care and documentation abilities. You should be comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Must have an active CST certification in good standing. Must be a fast learner, and possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in ophthalmology (cataract) is required; experience in pain management is a plus.

Major Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Preparing the operating room, sterile fields, instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgery
- Ensuring compliance with sterile technique, infection prevention, and safety standards
- Assisting surgeons intraoperatively by anticipating needs and passing instruments and supplies
- Performing instrument, sponge, and sharps counts and documenting per protocol
- Coordinating with nursing, anesthesia, and physicians to support efficient case flow
- Monitoring equipment functionality and reporting issues or maintenance needs
- Managing room turnover, case carts, and preference-card readiness
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
