Under the direction of the Management Systems Administrator or designee, the position will evaluate, design, implement, maintain, and modify advanced technological systems in conjunction with the District’s Technology Services team. Maintain, improve, and refine the district's data and storage management systems. Work closely with vendors and technical and administrative personnel, acting as technical lead in assigned IT-related projects, including evaluating, testing, and recommending new software and technology-related procedures and policies.

Experience: Four (4) years of increasingly responsible development and database experience.
License and Certification: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. Ability to be covered under the District property/liability insurance.Application Filing

Work Schedule
This is an exempt position with a full-time schedule at 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, and observes a 12-month work calendar. Additional hours may be necessary.
Compensation
Salary placement for new employees is typically at the first step ($101,579/annually) of the appropriate salary schedule. Upon successful completion of the initial probationary period, a one-step salary advance shall be granted with all future annual advances occurring on the established anniversary date.
Probationary Period
Persons in this position are required to successfully satisfy a probationary period of one (1) year from the date of appointment. During this period, an employee must demonstrate an overall satisfactory level of performance.

Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in an office setting, with duties performed at a desk or conference table or in meetings of various configurations. Exposure to noise from office equipment operation and employees; some interruptions and contact in person and on telephone with district staff or the public. Ability to work in a temperature-controlled and storeroom environment with cooler temperatures.
