Palm Harbor United Methodist Church/Westlake Christian School is seeking a full time maintenance worker, responsibilities include light plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting as well as the exterior appearance of the facility with mowing, weeding, edging, trimming. Hours will be Mon.-Fri. between 8 AM and 5 PM. Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
Responsibilities:
Areas of responsibility shall include, but not be limited to:
- Light bulb replacement/LED upgrades.
- Light switch/outlet replacement and other light electrical work.
- Light plumbing, clogged drains, toilet replacement, tank/flush valve repairs, faucet replacement, etc.
- Drywall repair, painting, door latch and lock repair.
- Build and install classroom/office furniture.
- Vehicle Inspections/transporting.
- Mowing, weed whacking, edging, mulching, irrigation repair, care for equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to the Staff Covenant.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in facility maintenance a plus.
- Experience in landscape maintenance work a plus.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, adaptable, and a team player.
- Must have a lot of energy.
- Must have a good driving record with a safe record acceptable to our insurance company to drive company vehicles.
- Must have physical strength and stamina to handle power trimmers, power saws, power edger, etc., and must learn to operate them in a safe manner.
- Must be able to tolerate and work in heat and cold conditions outside.
- Must pass a background check.
