Performs specialized clerical and public contact work involving coordination of the registration process for County programs and/or activities. Provides information to the general public related to available programs, registration procedures, processing fees, refunds, etc. Coordinates cash accounting with fiscal staff and maintains program information through maintenance of a computerized registration system. Ensures that cash/checks/credit card payments are collected and reconciled in accordance with County and departmental policies and procedures. Performs clerical duties using standard office equipment/software and County proprietary software. Prepares, verifies, and submits computerized payroll. Researches and recommends work procedures and methods; devises forms for departmental approval; ensures that staff is completing forms properly and in a timely manner. Performs complex departmental reconciliation of a variety of accounting records, including revenue and attendance statistical information.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) year of experience with general clerical work that involves public contact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include (must specify on application):
- Experience using an automated reservation program/database (must specify on application),
- In-person and over-the-phone customer service experience,
- Experience with entering and recovering data from a computer,
- Experience handling money/ working as a cashier or teller,
- Experience reconciling daily deposits, and
- Knowledge of Palm Beach County geographic area.
