THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.

Charges and discharges library materials to the public; registers borrowers; receives payment for Palm Tran Paradise passes and tech devices; resolves inquiries/complaints concerning the circulation of materials; shelves and retrieves library materials. Processes library materials and links them to a computerized database.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months experience in library or general clerical work,
- Graduation from high school/equivalent; minimum of 12-semester/18-quarter hours of college-level coursework (must specify on application).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in a library/bookstore,
- Experience with clerical work in retail or banking,
- Experience working with computers,
- Experience handling cash,
- Six (6) months of customer service experience, and
- Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
