Formed in 1900, the Palisades Interstate Park Commission was the nation’s first bi-state partnership established to protect and conserve natural lands, as well as create and maintain the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
Today, the New Jersey section of Palisades Interstate Park Commission is about twelve miles long and half a mile wide, with 2,500 acres of wild Hudson River shoreline, uplands, and cliffs — just minutes from midtown Manhattan!
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team for the season.
Duties
- Ensure sanitation, including the cleaning of restrooms and the removal of garbage, litter, and debris
- Various landscaping tasks, including grass/tree cutting, weed whacking, and leaf blowing
- Repair of asphalt/potholes
- General, intensive manual labor
Requirements
- Ability to take direction
- Must be able to lift up to 45lbs
- Must be able to traverse outdoor terrain regularly
- Must be able to carry various pieces of equipment for extended periods of time
