Paint of WNY is looking for an experienced Commercial Painting Crew Leader to oversee painting crews on commercial and industrial projects. This position is ideal for a skilled painter who can lead by example, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise commercial painting crews on active job sites
- Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to team members
- Ensure projects are completed according to specifications, schedules, and quality standards
- Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and work orders
- Train and mentor painters on proper techniques and safety procedures
- Conduct surface preparation, painting, coating, and finishing work as needed
- Monitor job progress and communicate updates to project management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Track labor, materials, and equipment usage
Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial painting experience
- Previous crew leader, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of commercial painting systems, coatings, and surface preparation methods
- Experience with brush, roll, spray, and specialty coating applications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints and project specifications
- OSHA and safety knowledge preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
