Job description
PADCOM Design & Construction Management Services — a DBE/SBE/MBE/LBE/LSBE-certified program and construction management firm based in Cerritos, CA — is sourcing a Project Manager II – Sustainability for submission to the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) BuildLACCD Bond Program.
This is a bond-eligible role focused exclusively on capital construction, modernization, and sustainability projects under LACCD's Capital Construction Bond Program. Duties are strictly tied to bond-eligible activities — planning, design, construction, commissioning, and related project management — and do not include routine M&O work.

What you'll do
- Lead and manage sustainability projects aligned with LACCD's District sustainability goals and initiatives
- Manage 5 to 10 concurrent projects ranging from $1M to $30M in construction value
- Review and develop contract documents; plan, organize, direct, and report on construction project performance
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; track scheduling, cost control, staffing, and contract requirements
- Execute the program Quality Management System and close out projects per DSA and PMO/District protocols
- Inspect construction site offices for performance and compliance; support dispute resolution and project outreach
Minimum requirements
- 5 years managing multiple construction projects within a large capital improvement program, with familiarity of relevant Public Codes
- BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or closely related field (additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis)
Strongly preferred
- 2 years in Educational Facility Construction
- Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
- LEED AP credential or experience on LEED-certified / CHPS projects
- Building Information Modeling (BIM) proficiency
- Alternative delivery method experience
- Formal Construction Partnering experience
- California Architect license, PE license, or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) credential
- Web-based project management system experience
