What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Administrator position at Pacific States Environmental Contractors?
Pacific States Environmental Contractors, Inc., Northern California’s premier environmental contractor, is seeking a Contract Administrator to be a part of our team in the Dublin office. The ideal candidate would bring knowledge of contractual requirements within the construction industry and the ability to offer contractual guidance during all stages of projects. Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Contract & Agreement Administration
- Prepare and process subcontract agreements, hauler agreements and consulting agreements.
- Compare, execute and help manage subcontract execution process, including internal coordination and governance, processing in project contract management system, and subcontractor communications.
- Understand the contractual requirements of project documents for both prime contract and subcontract administration.
- Coordinate legal review and governance in accordance with project and JV partner business requirements.
- QC/review project documents and procedures for alignment with prime contract and city code requirements.
Project Support & Compliance
- File preliminary notices for projects.
- Order insurance for new and existing projects. (Ensure project insurance is up to date)
- Understand and apply OCIP policies.
- Post ads for minority hiring requirements GFE (Good Faith Efforts), send solicitations, make phone calls, send emails and faxes and assemble submittal packages to submit to agencies.
- Assist with quarry/landfill administration.
Estimating & Bidding Support
- Assist Estimating team with bid closings and other pre-construction tasks.
- Prepare job folders and assist Estimators with other various tasks.
Office Coordination & Administrative Support
- Order lunch for office meetings.
- Stock and maintain office supplies.
Qualifications
- 5 years’ construction industry experience managing contract administration or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with internal and external personnel of all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Acrobat Adobe.
