Following this growth, they are looking for a maintenance manager. This professional oversees all aspects of equipment and facility maintenance within the production environments, focusing on operational reliability and efficiency. They would also lead a talented maintenance team to support continuous production, maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and minimize downtime across the facility.
This professional will need to be innovative and proactive with new processes, including the upkeep of legacy equipment and the development of the team and reduction of down time.
They will report directly to the Plant Manager, with endless opportunity for growth and organizational influence.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment, building systems, and site infrastructure.
- Lead and support the maintenance team through recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs aimed at reducing downtime and improving equipment longevity.
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to schedule maintenance with minimal impact on productivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Manage departmental budgets, including spare parts, external service providers, and major repair planning.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, work orders, and asset histories using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or similar platform.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, environmental policies, and regulatory requirements; assist with investigations involving equipment-related incidents.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, reliability, and workplace safety.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to support maintenance and operational needs.
- Support equipment upgrades, installations, and facility improvement projects from planning through implementation.
Experience and Education:
- Required Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order and PM management.
- Understanding of TPM and/or lean maintenance principles
