What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Director position at Pacific International Executive Search?
About the Job
Pacific International is partnering with a global manufacturing organization to hire a Finance Director for a rapidly growing, highly visible location. This is a high-impact finance leadership role with full ownership of a $200M P&L and significant opportunity to influence performance, transformation, and long-term results.
If you’re a hands-on finance leader who wants to be embedded in operations, and make a tangible difference, this role offers both scope and scale.
The Opportunity
As Finance Director , you will serve as the primary financial leader for a $200M manufacturing operation that is undergoing meaningful growth and transformation. The site is complex, fast-moving, and rich with opportunity, making this an ideal role for someone who thrives in change, enjoys building structure, and wants to leave a lasting footprint.
This role is deeply partnered with plant and operations leadership and is central to driving smarter decisions, stronger controls, and better outcomes.
What You’ll Own
- Full ownership of a $200M P&L at a growing manufacturing location
- End-to-end financial leadership: forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
- Heavy involvement in transformation initiatives, including labor optimization, cost control, and operational efficiency
- Close partnership with Operations, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership as a true finance business partner
- Financial leadership for a site with significant opportunity to improve performance and maturity
- Development and tracking of key operational and financial KPIs
- Translating data into actionable insights that directly impact results
- Leadership and development of a small on-site finance team
What We’re Looking For
- 8 years of progressive finance experience in manufacturing or plant-based environments
- Prior experience as a Plant Controller or senior site finance leader
- Demonstrated ownership of large, complex P&Ls (plant or site level)
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures, labor models, and inventory
- Experience supporting turnarounds, transformations, or fast-growth operations
- Strong analytical mindset—comfortable moving from historical reporting to forward-looking insights
- Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with strong operational instincts
Why This Role Stands Out
- Own a $200M P&L at a growing, strategically important site
- Heavily involved in transformation with real authority to make change
- High visibility with both site and senior leadership
