Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, urgent care facilities, and long-term care environments. This role involves assisting with patient care, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for patients of all ages, including children in pediatrics.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Help with the mobility of patients by assisting them in walking or transferring them to different locations.
- Support nursing staff with basic medical procedures and documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient care areas and equipment.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during treatment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
- Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is a plus; familiarity with urgent care or long-term care environments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is advantageous.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, including experience working with children in pediatrics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and families.
