Job Description:
At Precision Hydro (PH), our continued success and business growth are driven by skilled and dedicated project managers. We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team and contribute to PH's expansion while maintaining our status as a Premier Pump and Well Contractor. They will be expected to drive the success of our projects through planning and active management.
Objectives of this Role:
- Manage the team, clients and projects, ensuring every aspect of the project is clearly defined and short-term goals are achieved.
- Communicate often and provide updates on project progress, critical milestones and any project hindering events both internally and externally.
- Lead projects based on scope of work through deployment, identifying schedules, budget estimations, project implementation plans and risk mitigation.
- Work from the contract to ensure compliance with scope, budget, and milestones. Negotiate potential change orders and communicate changes to the team.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with Production, Engineering, and other support personnel.
- Analyze project progress and adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that Production and Engineering adheres to project requirements.
- Identify opportunities for creating new processes or to improve current processes to maximize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
General and Administrative:
- Determine project responsibilities for support personnel.
- Ensure proper cost coding and approve budgeted and unbudgeted invoices for payment.
- Facilitate permits, contracts and approvals for a smooth and successful project.
- Facilitate performance reviews for support personnel.
- Facilitate timely documentation of project close-out for the execution and delivery of quarterly incentive programs.
- Keep backlog/WIP up to date.
- Prepare and participate in Operations and Business Development meetings.
- Actively engage in the improvement of SOPs/project procedures by applying Kaizen and 6 Sigma practices.
- Account Management—Build a strong customer relationship securing future work opportunities.
Management:
- Facilitate the accuracy and completeness of job folders.
- Project submittals—Own and understand, review the Project Engineer’s work for correctness/completion and check to make sure the project has been accurately estimated.
- Review job specs and budgets from Project Engineer.
- Manage timing, completion, change orders and final billing of projects and service calls
- Well-Inform:
- Oversee the health of IoT stations; communicate and schedule repairs as needed
- Promote IoT services to customers
Job Scoping:
- Establish, document, and facilitate processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, identifying critical path flow, and assessing and managing risk across multiple phases of the project.
- Ensure resource availability, allocation and optimize logistics.
- Develop and document a detailed project plan, track progress and communicate with the team to keep the production schedule updated and accurate.
- Use appropriate management and verification techniques to ensure changes in project scope, schedule, and costs are properly tracked through to completed change orders.
Pre-Production Planning:
- Understand the critical nature of planning for the success of the project.
- Develop a schedule based on project scope requirements.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution within projects.
- Ensure third party/vendor qualifications (DIR #, Subcontractor Agreements and ins requirements)
- Establish and maintain communication with leadership, teams, and customers.
- Establish and maintain customer’s billing requirements.
- Prepare by reading all contracts, highlighting critical points for the team and ensuring compliance.
Production Execution:
- Carry out strategic direction.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to management and customers; escalating issues as needed.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Keep real-time communication with field ensuring any changes to the original scope go through the proper channels. If changes are outside of scope a change order will be required.
Closing Process:
- Work with the executives and sales team to ensure the project was delivered to stakeholders’ satisfaction.
- Reconcile job performance, prepare final billing and track the Notice of Completion.
- Partner with the project team to conduct post project evaluation and identify and capture successful and unsuccessful project elements to ensure continuous improvement.
- Facilitate all administrative tasks associated with project close out are completed timely.
- Seek customer satisfaction and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in the fields of Engineering and or Construction Management)
- PMP / PRINCE II certification a plus
- Proficient (2 years) experience in project management with technical understanding or hands-on experience in the construction industry.
- Strong budgeting, written and verbal communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills for meeting project deadlines.
- Ability to read contracts and understand implications of risk and responsibilities.
- Ability to identify potential risks and solve problems proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and scheduling software.

Salary : $100,000 - $200,000
