The HR Generalist will oversee recruitment, employee relations, workers' compensation and other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted HR contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues
- Support employee relations investigations and issue resolution
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture
- Coordinate full‑cycle recruiting: posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews
- Assist hiring managers with selection and offer processes
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Prepare HR documentation such as offer letters, employment verifications, and disciplinary records
- Support offboarding processes, including exit interviews
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions
- Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, etc.) as applicable
- Coordinate with benefits vendors and payroll
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support audits and HR reporting requirements
- Assist in updating and communicating HR policies and procedures
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5 years of HR experience in a generalist or similar role
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
