Job Type: Full Time; 40 Hours a week

Supervises: Clerks, Office Assistants

Job Summary:The HR Generalist plays a vital role in the everyday success of Because Children Matter, championing consistent HR practices throughout the organization. This position focuses on engaging recruitment, ensuring smooth onboarding, managing benefits, maintaining compliance, and fostering strong employee relations—all while collaborating closely with directors, managers, and coordinators to create a positive and thriving workplace culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources, or a related field.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR) is highly preferred. Candidates may be given time to obtain certification upon hiring.
• 3 years of experience in a human resources generalist role.
• Knowledge of California labor laws and employment regulations.
• Proficient in Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Valid California driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required.
