Location: Birmingham, AL 35203

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 Days Onsite | 1 Day Remote – Typically Friday)

Skills Required

Primary (Must-Have)

  • Minimum 1 year of professional video editing experience.
  • Proficiency with Camtasia (required).
  • Experience editing raw video footage into polished, engaging content.
  • Strong understanding of video storytelling, pacing, and sequencing.
  • Experience with audio editing, mixing, and synchronization.
  • Ability to create visual effects, text overlays, graphics, and transitions.
  • Knowledge of color correction and video enhancement techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality content.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Portfolio demonstrating previous video editing work is required.


Secondary (Good to Have)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Experience producing content for websites, social media, and mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
  • Experience working in a collaborative creative or marketing environment.



Position Overview

The Video Editor I is responsible for transforming raw video footage into engaging, high-quality visual content that supports communication, training, and marketing initiatives. This role collaborates with directors, producers, content creators, and stakeholders to produce compelling videos while ensuring technical accuracy, visual consistency, and timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and proficient in video editing software, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt content for various digital platforms.



Roles & Responsibilities

Video Editing & Production

  • Edit raw video footage into polished, professional-quality videos using Camtasia and other video editing software.
  • Review and select the best video clips and sequences to create engaging visual stories.
  • Organize footage and maintain structured project files for efficient editing and future use.
  • Prepare final video deliverables in appropriate formats and resolutions for distribution.


Visual Effects & Audio Enhancement

  • Enhance videos with graphics, animations, text overlays, and visual effects.
  • Edit, mix, and synchronize dialogue, music, and sound effects.
  • Perform color correction and adjust brightness, contrast, and visual consistency.
  • Create seamless transitions to improve video flow and viewer engagement.


Collaboration & Project Support

  • Collaborate with directors, producers, content creators, and stakeholders to understand project objectives.
  • Incorporate feedback and revisions to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Adapt video content for multiple platforms, including websites, social media, presentations, and mobile devices.
  • Support multiple video projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.


Quality Assurance

  • Perform quality reviews to ensure videos meet technical specifications and organizational standards.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and visual presentation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, editing techniques, and emerging multimedia technologies.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional video editing experience.
  • Proficiency with Camtasia (required).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating previous video editing projects.
  • Experience with audio editing, color correction, transitions, and visual storytelling.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications
