POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Java Developer sits within the Enterprise Core Engineering department and reports directly to the Director of Software Engineering. This executive-level professional will solve complex cloud-native scaling and backend delivery challenges by leading end-to-end full stack solutions and AI-accelerated development lifecycles.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead end-to-end delivery of full stack solutions utilizing Java Spring Boot, GraphQL/REST, and AWS-managed services from architecture design through production support.
• Drive rigorous architecture and design reviews, defining robust service boundaries, API contracts, data models, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Develop secure, high-quality, production-grade code, execute code reviews, and enforce top-tier engineering and security standards.
• Build, scale, and maintain highly available cloud-native services with an emphasis on operational excellence, reliability, performance, and cost awareness.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, debugging, refactoring, and test generation while maintaining strict code security.
