Skills Required

Primary (Must-Have):

• Active Pharmacist licenses in both Utah and California
• PharmD or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
• Knowledge of prescription verification and medication dispensing processes
• Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Pharmacist I to join a growing pharmacy team. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers long-term career potential and is ideal for both experienced pharmacists and recent graduates. The Pharmacist I will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform final prescription verification prior to dispensing medications.
• Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure adherence to pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and patient safety programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
• Participate in process improvement and compliance activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Active Pharmacist licenses in both California and Utah are required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, specialty, or clinical pharmacy settings.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management software and systems.
