Job Title: Financial Analyst I

Duration: 6 Months (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Clinton, IA 52732

Pay Rate: $30.00–$33.50/hour on W2

Shift: Standard

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and understanding of General Ledger (GL) accounting
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel
• Ability to interview onsite
• Potential for extension and full-time conversion

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with internal and external audit processes.
• Review and audit quarterly fixed assets, including additions, retirements, true-ups, and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
• Perform monthly inventory balancing for board, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods (FG), supplies, and intercompany charges.
• Support physical inventory counts for finished goods, WIP, board, supplies, and company assets.
• Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory and report findings to Finance and Plant leadership.
• Assist with the month-end financial close and consolidation process.
• Coordinate with corporate departments to gather and provide monthly financial information.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during month-end reporting.
• Support working capital analysis and provide financial data as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and track margin enhancement initiatives.
• Assist department managers with data entry and monthly reporting.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, KPI reporting, and financial reporting tool implementation.
• Analyze financial results, identify significant variances, and prepare reporting presentations.
• Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Production teams to resolve discrepancies, ensure accurate revenue recognition, and review monthly accruals.
• Review job costing reports, analyze cost variances, and provide recommendations.
