Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Property Claims Specialist to manage the Property Claims Management Program. This role is responsible for overseeing property loss and business interruption claims, coordinating with operations and maintenance teams, preparing claim submissions, working with claims consultants and adjusters, tracking financial recoveries, and ensuring timely claim resolution.
The ideal candidate will possess strong claims management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while driving successful claim outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day activities related to property loss and business interruption claims
- Coordinate communication regarding loss incidents across internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to gather claim-related information
- Prepare and submit insurance claims and supporting documentation
- Coordinate activities with claims consultants, adjusters, and third-party service providers
- Track claim-related financial recoveries and provide accounting support as needed
- Prepare claim status reports and communicate progress to management
- Provide required information and feedback to adjusters to facilitate claim closure
- Analyze claim data and make business recommendations based on findings
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and claim management procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to claims processes and recovery efforts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of claims management experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
