We’re partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources to lead its HR function and serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who can navigate complex and sensitive people matters while building strong relationships with employees, managers, union representatives, and organizational leaders.
What You’ll Be Doing…
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational priorities, culture, and operational needs
- Serve as a strategic advisor on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent management, and complex people-related matters
- Lead employee relations activities, including performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and terminations
- Provide HR leadership for a heavily unionized workforce, including collective bargaining preparation, strategy, research, costing, and implementation
- Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements while supporting grievances, labor disputes, and relationships with union representatives
- Lead compensation programs, including evaluation of pay structures, job classifications, internal equity, and market competitiveness
- Oversee HR policies, procedures, practices, and employment compliance while remaining hands-on with day-to-day HR needs when necessary

- Senior-level HR leadership experience with responsibility for both strategic and operational HR functions
- Strong employee relations experience handling complex investigations, performance matters, disciplinary actions, workplace conflict, and terminations
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce, including collective bargaining, CBA interpretation, grievances, and labor relations
- Experience developing or administering compensation programs, pay structures, job classifications, and related total rewards initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to advise executive leadership, build credibility across all levels of an organization, and navigate complex or sensitive workplace matters

Pay Rate: $62.00–$74.00 per hour DOE
